For nearly 30 years, a sprawling128-acre ranch in Idaho’s Salmon River country has provided a secluded getaway for singer/songwriter Carole King. Now King is putting the Robinson Bar Ranch on the market, complete with a 7,337-square-foot lodge, an owner’s residence, caretaker’s home and eight guest cabins. The historic property, located just over an hour’s drive north of Sun Valley, was home to a former governor of Idaho and over the years has hosted a roster of international celebrities from kings and presidents to Hollywood stars.

In addition to private trails, world-class fishing and whitewater rafting, the property boasts a year-round pool complex heated by geothermal springs. Designed with local stone and surrounded by native vegetation, the complex features a swimming pool and a soaking pool with constant temperatures of 108 degrees. There’s also a new horse barn with six stalls.

The two-story log lodge has five bedrooms, a large commercial kitchen and a den/office. The 2,046-square-foot owner’s home, perched on a bluff above Warm Springs Creek, has two bedrooms and extensive deck space. And, as befits the current owner, there’s also a freestanding, professional recording studio with a guest apartment attached.
